NRL: On NRL 360, the panel discuss the news of Tigers' CEO and head coach skipping town whilst the club is in the middle of a crisis.

Benji Marshall and Wests Tigers CEO Shane Richardson have come under fire for leaving Australia amid the club’s horror run of form

The Tigers have a bye this week, but haven’t picked up a win since they pipped the Eels on Easter Monday 17-16 in Round 4. It’s one of just two wins this season under Marshall. “What I find quite remarkable is that their chief executive officer, Shane Richardson, has taken himself to the UK for two weeks amid this crisis,” Phil Rothfield said on NRL360 on Monday.NRL360 panellist Brent Read, however, leaped to the defence of Richardson, clarifying that he’s there in an attempt to find potential recruits playing in the Super League.

“That a CEO has appointed himself the recruitment manager is a total waste of resources,” Rothfield continued.“I mean, he’s supposedly come in to do a better job, to get the club doing better and they’ve lost eight games in a row,” Anasta said.Concerns were also raised over Marshall’s decision to holiday in Fiji with the Tigers in freefall.
