Marvel fans are ECSTATIC after SheHulkAttorneyAtLaw dropped another big hint about a potential World War Hulk MCU adaptation.
Warning: The following contains spoilers for She-Hulk: Attorney at Law episode 2She-Hulk: Attorney at Law episode 2 teases World War Hulk and Marvel fans are ecstatic. Tatiana Maslany is Jennifer Walters aka She-Hulk, the hulking green Marvel comics character first introduced back in 1980. Along for the ride in the latest Disney+ Marvel show is Mark Ruffalo as the MCU’s Bruce Banner.
Of course there is more on the docket for She-Hulk: Attorney at Law than just tracking the exploits of Maslany’s attorney-turned-Hulk and her cousin Bruce Banner. As with any MCU enterprise, be it big-screen or small-screen, there’s also set-up to be done. And She-Hulk episode 2 seemed to set up a doozy of a future MCU movie, laying hints that World War Hulk may be in the offing.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law lead writer Jessica Gao has helpfully already addressed all this fan-exciting World War Hulk set-up. According to Gao, part of the motivation behind sending Hulk away was to give Ruffalo a definitive exit from the show, so fans wouldn’t expect him to be in every She-Hulk episode. But Gao also added, “I think it kind of opens up the possibility, if Marvel chooses to, to do something with that, to pick up that story.
It remains to be seen of course if World War Hulk actually happens in the MCU. But there are enough teases in place that, if it doesn’t happen now, fans will be very disappointed. At the very least, the future of Hulk and She-Hulk appears rich with possibilities, as the powers-that-be at Marvel look ready to place big bets on both Ruffalo’s Banner and Maslany’s Walters as major players going forward.
