In collaboration with Fuyo General Lease, Penta-Ocean Construction has embarked on a groundbreaking initiative to construct two of the world’s largest vessels tailored for offshore wind farm development. This vessel is crucial for laying power cables, which are essential not only for bottom-fixed and floating-type wind farms but also for submarine direct current power transmission. Built by PaxOcean Group, the CLV is designed to meet the upcoming demands for extensive cable-laying operations in the Exclusive Economic Zone and general sea areas.Boosting Japan’s offshore wind ambitionsBoth vessels are the product of a joint venture, each owned equally by a POC and Fuyo General Lease subsidiary.
