Giant’s U.S. division plans a major headquarters move to Colorado, with operations shifting in early 2026

Giant Group USA is moving HQ from California to Colorado. Boulder’s outdoor culture aligns with Giant’s growth plans. Rider and retailer support will remain consistent during move. Giant Group USA is packing up its long-time California base and heading for higher elevation.

The largest bike brand in the world is moving to Boulder, Colorado from its current location in Newbury Park. The transition starts early next year, with most staff expected to be in Boulder by fall. Giant says this shift is all about getting into the heart of America's cycling culture. In a statement spotted by SBG, Giant said it’s in the final stages of securing an office near downtown Boulder. It's exactly where you’d expect a bike brand to plant its flag. The city is already home to a dense network of bike infrastructure, pro athletes, outdoor startups, and endurance-sport institutions. If you build gear for people who climb mountains for fun, Boulder is about as on-brand as it gets. Specialized still has its U.S. headquarters there but Colorado is quickly becoming another hot spot. Boulder offers a unique combination of community, terrain, and industry partnership opportunities that align perfectly with Giant's mission and business vision, said Chris Lai, Giant USA’s operations general manager. The company says the move is part of a broader push to sharpen its U.S. strategy and ramp up product development. This relocation positions Giant to realign our business planning and energize our team, enabling us to better serve our retailers, athletes, and riders, said Angelo Mascelli, business general manager. It also reinforces our commitment to delivering the next generation of product innovations and brand experiences. For retailers and riders worried about disruption, Giant insists operations will stay steady. The brand has a transition plan in place and is working with relocation specialists to keep support channels running without interruption. It's worth noting that Giant is still a Taiwan-based brand so production shouldn't see any major effect. Credit: Giant Bicycles
