China's Tiangong, the first full-size electric running robot, goes open-source to accelerate development and integration into daily life.

After testing, the platform is now open-source, enabling enterprises and research institutions to access it, cutting development time and costs. The move aims to boost secondary development and speed up the robots’ integration into daily life.

“Tiangong 1.0 LITE” and “Tiangong Pro,” with software and structural design documents already available. By the end of the year, the center plans to release additional structural blueprints, software architecture, and electrical systems., Tiangong has already been used in various situations since its formal release such as power plant patrols and warehouse pick-and-place duties.
