The worker was painting and changing outdoor lights at the Angel of the Sea in Cape May when their aerial platform lift began malfunctioning, the firefighters union said Sunday. The worker was about 50 feet above ground when the device became inoperable. City firefighters were called to the bed and breakfast around 6:30 p.m. A fire truck’s ladder was raised to the worker, whose lift was stuck at the top of one of the building’s towers.It was unknown if the worker was employed by the hostel or if they were a contractor.
