The Utah Highway Patrol on Monday, Oct. 23, 2023, is investigating after a morning crane collapse killed a Department of Transportation worker at the West Davis Corridor bridge construction site over I-15. Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Brian Peterson identified the man as Darren Braddley, 42, of Gunnison.
The incident happened early Oct. 23 as crews were disassembling the crane at a portion of the West Davis Corridor being constructed over I-15 in Farmington.The project, which has been underway since 2021, has been put on hold during the investigation. The involved crane remained at the construction site in Farmington as of Tuesday morning.
