In a statement, the governor’s office said the infected employee was a 42-year-old woman who has not shown symptoms but is now on quarantine. Zubiri had ordered the testing of the provincial government’s 3,688 employees through reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction, which detects antigens instead of antibodies. Antigens are foreign matters inside the human body that include viruses.
