To await means to wait for something or someone with expectation, anticipation, or readiness. It implies a sense of looking forward to a particular event, action, or outcome. When you are awaiting something, you are in a state of preparedness or expectancy for it to occur. This term is often used to describe the act of patiently looking forward to the arrival of a moment, an event, a decision, or a person.
