The Woodside CEO has defended the company's sponsorship of the Fremantle Dockers during an appearance at the National Press Club, and revealed the company's hopes for the partnership.
There have been calls for the AFL club to cut ties with the company from a group of high-profile supporters who have cited climate change as part of their argument.
She told how the relationship between Fremantle and Woodside Energy is one that is built on common values and indicated the company was in for the long haul. "Our relationship with the Dockers is a relationship that's founded on common values. We're two proudly Western Australian organisations," she said.
"We've worked closely with the Dockers on Indigenous reconciliation. I think they're a leader in the league on support for Indigenous players and we've worked with them to build a reconciliation action plan."
