However, those remarks drew a sharp rebuke from Senator Wong on Tuesday, who claimed the plan"diminishes" Australia's standing on the world stage. The ambassador's office will oversee the creation of a First Nations trade and investment advisory group and First Nations visitor economy partnership, as well as using the intellectual property system to protect Indigenous knowledge and greater First Nations business participation through Austrade.
