Of the 2,337 people nominated for non-acting Primetime Emmys in 2021, 757 are women, while 1,580 are men. That’s a decrease for women compared to 2020, when of the 2,286 people nominated for non-acting Primetime Emmys, 801 were women, while 1,485 were men. Just as in 2020, some categories have seen progress in female representation, while most categories have not.
The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences oversees and produces the Primetime Emmy Awards. The 73rd annual Primetime Emmy Awards will air September 19, 2021 on CBS, with Paramount+ offering livestream access on demand. The 2021 Creative Arts Emmy Awards will be presented over two days, during a three-part Emmys.com webcast on September 11 and September 12 . FXX will televise a Creative Arts Emmy Awards ceremony highlights special on September 18.
