Julia Wendell gained attention online after claiming she believed she could be the missing Brit child
A young woman who flew to the US after claiming she might be Madeleine McCann has spoken of "achieving big goals". Julia Wendell gained attention online after claiming she believed she could be the missing British child who disappeared during a family holiday to Portugal in 2007.
Writing on her story, she attributed a quote to Julia: "Consider this your reminder, you are amazing and can achieve big goals." Another message, also alongside a picture of Julia, read: "Thankyou for reminding me what butterflies feel like". It has also been reported that Julia has been threatened with legal action by a man she claims abused her when she was a child. A lawyer representing the man has reportedly demanded she stops associating his client with the unsolved mystery of the missing child.
"If you do not stop such actions – I will file a lawsuit against you for violations of personal rights and consider further steps on the criminal level."
