Thursday marks the end of Rachelle Zola’s trek from Chicago.
In April, Zola started her journey from Chicago to Montgomery. She says every step in her 825-mile trek has been taken with purpose.The 76-year-old advocate, storyteller and facilitator for racial equity says this pilgrimage is all about celebrating our diverse cultures and healing together from the deeply-rooted racism in our country.
She arrived at Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church on Tuesday. Zola says she was filled with mixed emotions. But her work is not over. She is inviting you to join her Thursday at 4 p.m. for the final leg of her journey to the state capitol.
