CONROE, Texas — Residents of an apartment complex in Conroe were shocked by the stabbing death of a woman sitting at a picnic table Saturday afternoon.
A witness told us she heard the victim screaming around 12:30 p.m. and then saw EMTs working on her, but she didn't survive. “I was outside and I heard a woman out there, and I heard that she was screaming. She was sitting at the picnic table.” the woman who didn't want to give her name said. The witness said Khan had been sitting at the table and talking on the phone with her dog nearby when the man"came out of nowhere.""Witnesses on scene gave a good description of the suspect and his direction of travel," police said in a statement."Officers quickly set up a perimeter and were able to locate and detain the suspect a short distance away on Johnson-Martin Rd."“All for nothing.
