Two people were hospitalized after a woman called West Valley City police to report she had been stabbed. A 26-year-old woman called first responders at about 11 p.m. Friday, saying a man had stabbed her in her home, according to Roxeanne Vainuku, public information officer for the West Valley City Police Department.
Police arrived at the home and found the woman with multiple stab wounds. She was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.The victim identified the suspect, and officers located him in his home in Kearns. Officials said he also had several stab wounds, which appeared to be self-inflicted.Officials did not release additional details on their current conditions or the circumstances leading up to the stabbing.
