The crash was reported a little after midnight in the 100 block of Asbury Anderson Road in Franklin Township, west of the intersection with Halls Mill Road. Emergency crews worked to free the driver from a damaged white sedan that landed on its driver’s side and was tangled up in trees and brush along the two-lane road.
Based on a preliminary investigation, New Jersey State Police said a white Ford sedan was heading east on Asbury Anderson Road when it traveled off the road and hit multiple trees. The driver, a 28-year-old woman from the township, was seriously injured, troopers said. A medical helicopter was called and transported the woman to a local hospital.The crash remains under investigation, and anyone with information should contact the Washington barracks at 908-689-3101.
