A woman has shared a 'life-changing' hack to unlock supermarket trolleys without needing a £1 coin - and there are two ways to do it
Did you forget to bring a £1 coin for your weekly supermarket shopping trolley? There's a solution. We've all been there - you get to the supermarket ready for the weekly shop and then realise we don't have a £1 coin for the trolley.
The best bit is, she shared two ways to do it so you can choose what works for you, reports the Express. She shared her hack on TikTok under the username @tiger_lee_uk. For this method, all you need is a cotton swab or Q-tip.To start your shopping trip, push the cotton swab into the coin slot. This will force the key in the trolley handle to pop out. And when you've finished your shopping and want to return the trolley, just push the key back in and pull out your cotton swab.
One person humorously quipped: "Oh yeah, I always carry a Q-tip," while another said: "If I remember to take a cotton swab I will remember to take a coin."
