West Yorkshire Police closed the M1 Southbound between junctions 39 and 40 near Wakefield on Saturday morning following a serious crash, that involved two cars. The M1 Southbound has been closed since 8.49am on Saturday and remains closed at this time. It is unclear when the motorway will reopen following the crash.
