CONCORD — A mother escaped with only minor injuries after a man robbed her while she was removing her child from a car seat, police said.The robbery happened about 3 p.m. on Friday in the parking lot of the Park N Shop in the 1700 block of Willow Pass Road.
Concord police Lt. Robert Garcia in a statement said the woman was removing her child from the rear car seat when a man tried to grab her purse. The two struggled for a bit, before the suspect punched the woman and fled with the purse, Garcia said. He got into a black SUV and drove off on Willow Pass Road, Garcia said. Police did not provide a detailed description of him.
