The 65-year-old woman was sentenced to two years of probation by a federal judge.
A 65-year-old York County woman was convicted of mail fraud as part of a fraud scheme, the United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced on Tuesday.
United States Attorney Gerard M. Karam said that Seredych illegally obtained credit cards of legitimate account holders by accessing their accounts and having additional cards sent to her address in York County. Karam said Seredych then used those unauthorized credit cards to purchase merchandise and obtain cash advances, converting the property and money to her own use.
