More than 50 people gathered outside a café in the park earlier this week
If you were walking around a particular Liverpool park this week, you may have wondered why more than 50 women were gathered outside a café.
“After I left, I had no way of making friends other than a night out. My work is quite small as well. There was no way of making friends.” “I feel like loneliness isn't talked about enough. You're expected to be going out all the time and meeting people.” Becca said: “I never thought I'd pull something off like this. I just stopped and froze and nearly started crying, because I felt so proud of myself that I'd started something like this.” She described the gatherings as a place for women to have a chat and make friends in an alcohol-free space.
She added: “There was one girl that messaged me, and she mentioned how she was 20 and had a little child. I understand, being that age, it would be quite hard to meet new people. I think it's nice that they can bring their babies.”
