KEPALA BATAS: A female private sector employee here has lost RM39,020 in a face mask sale scam on social media.
Noorzainy said the woman then made several payments to a bank account number provided by the seller, who promised to deliver the goods within three to seven days. Noorzainy said to date, there had been eight cases of face mask scams in the district, with total losses amounting to RM52,585 since the movement control order was implemented.
