The fire was reported just after 11 a.m. at the Fredericksburg Place Apartment complex in the 3400 block of Fredericksburg Road.Firefighters said they arrived to find a significant fire in the apartment complex. They managed to put out the fire; however, fire officials said the fire damaged two apartment units, and two other units were damaged by smoke and water.
A woman is dead and multiple people were evacuated after a fire sparked in a Northwest Side apartment complex, according to the San Antonio Fire Department.Authorities said the unidentified woman was on a balcony calling for help; however, when SAFD arrived to rescue the woman, she was pronounced dead at the scene.According to the SAFD website, as many as 31 units answered the call.This is a developing story.
