Kota Kinabalu: A 24-year-old woman, who was fined RM8,000 last month for posting offensive comments towards an assistant minister and insulting his modesty, was charged on Wednesday with making criminal threats by intimidating a housewife.
Unemployed Luisa Luis, who appeared before Magistrate Lovely Natasha Charles pleaded not guilty to criminally intimidating Siti Noor Liyana Abd Latif Beldram, 34, on Jan 7 at 7.27am at the Kota Kinabalu International Airport, here.The charge under Section 506 of the Penal Code carries a jail term of up to two years or with fine or both, on conviction.

She was fined another RM3,000 by the Magistrate’s Court on the same date after she admitted to insulting the modesty of Fairuz by uttering abusive words against him through the WhatsApp application on April 6.Meanwhile, a 42-year-old man was sentenced to 10 months’ jail for trespassing into a house in Manggatal.
