Eastern Cape police are investigating a case of murder after a receptionist at St George’s Hospital in Gqeberha was shot dead outside the facility.The 49-year-old, who has been identified as Carol Anne Magielies, was shot multiple times on Sunday evening by an unknown suspect shortly after finishing her shift.
“It is alleged that at approximately 1.20am, police responded to a complaint at Livingstone Hospital of a 38-year-old male that died due to multiple stab wounds to his head and neck. “It is alleged that Jeremy Mopp was rushed to hospital after being stabbed at a nightclub in Bethelsdorp,” said Van Rensburg.Police appealed to anyone who may have witnessed anything or can provide information relating to the murder to contact police in Bethelsdorp on 071 475 1953 or Crime Stop.
