Woman gives birth at San Ysidro Port of Entry [Breaking]
A woman gave birth Monday morning after crossing into the U.S. at the San Ysidro Port of Entry, a Customs and Border Protection spokesperson said.
The 27-year-old U.S. citizen approached CBP officers on the international boundary line at the pedestrian crossing and said she was in labor. Officers immediately escorted the woman north of the border and requested a response from emergency medical services. Shortly after, the woman gave birth to healthy baby girl, authorities said.

Officers were able to provide medical assistance off to the side of the border crossing, and northbound pedestrian traffic was not affected, authorities said.So far this fiscal year, CBP officers in San Diego say they have assisted in delivering six babies.
