Homicide investigators with the Houston Police Department said they are investigating after a woman was found fatally shot in a ditch in northwest Houston Monday. hpd kprc2 click2houston hounews htx
HPD units responded to multiple calls of gunfire heard near the 7400 block of Cyr Street around 3:50 a.m. Units said as they were responding, they also heard the gunfire.
Officers said when they arrived at the scene, they located a woman in a ditch who had been shot. Emergency officials with the Houston Fire Department responded and pronounced the woman dead at the scene, HPD said. According to investigators, officers located a few firearms, bullet casings and a vehicle that was hit by gunfire.An investigation is underway as officers work to determine what led up to the shooting and who shot the woman.
