Detectives are investigating the discovery of the body as a homicide.
A woman was found dead after a brush fire near the San Gabriel River in Long Beach on Sunday, Dec. 8.
Fire crews extinguishing the fire discovered the body in the vicinity of 2nd Street and the river, according to the Long Beach Police Department, not far from the Long Beach Marina and busy Pacific Coast Highway. Homicide detectives are investigating the death, and no further information about the fire or the woman was immediately available.Detectives ask anyone with information about the killing to contact them at 562-570-7244.
