According to police spokesperson Malcolm Pojie, detectives were investigating the murder near the corner of Church in Wynberg at about 10.45am on Thursday.
A woman was shot dead near the Wynberg Magistrate’s Court and Wynberg detectives are looking into whether she was a witness in a legal case.
‘Crime scene experts are still combing the scene. Preliminary reports reveal that the unknown deceased was walking in the street near the court when she was approached by unknown gunmen who started shooting at her, wounding her fatally.The motive for the murder is also part of the police investigation.that the victim was believed to be attending a court case in which she was a witness before she was followed out of court.
This comes after the bodies of two male and two female individuals were discovered in Constantia, Cape Town, on Thursday morning. The victims, believed to be of Bulgarian descent, were found to have suffered fatal gunshot wounds. ‘Police were summoned to the crime scene after the discovery was made,’ explained police spokesperson Colonel Andrè Traut. ‘The motive for the multiple murders is yet to be determined, with detectives hard at work in search of clues. Serious and violent crime detectives have initiated an investigation.
