Woman charged in death of Dallas police officer following wrong-way crash

Officer Arellano, who was on his way to work dressed in uniform, was driving northbound in the middle of three lanes on Spur 408 near West Kiest Boulevard. A sedan going the wrong way struck his SUV, veering Arellano’s vehicle into the right lane, where he was struck again by a tractor-trailer. He then rolled multiple times, authorities said.of the time, the crashes are the result of intoxicated drivers.Rebollar was in serious condition after the crash.
Rebollar is listed as the director of Kingdom Connectors Group Inc., a financial services firm in Addison. Officer Arellano had worked for the Dallas Police Department since June 2019, assigned to the Northwest patrol division. His colleagues learned about the crash after he failed to answer roll call that night.“Please keep Jacob, his son, his girlfriend, and his family in your prayers,” Dallas Police Chief Eddie García tweeted while announcing Arellano’s death. “Rest easy brother.”
Funeral arrangements have not been announced, and the Dallas police traffic unit is investigating the crash.
