A man accused of holding a woman against her will and torturing her for months was arrested.

Deputies allege the victim was subjected to months of relentless physical abuse and captivity after she met Medina while panhandling.The woman was beaten with a wooden baseball bat and injured with flathead screwdriver, according to sheriff's officials. The victim endured unimaginable suffering at the hands of Medina as he forcibly transported her around the Tampa Bay area and threatened to kill her if she fled or sought help, stated the news release.She was injured during her escape. Details of the escape weren't provided.This suspect's reign of violent terror is now over," said Chronister.Medina, driving a gold Town and Country Chrysler, hit speeds over 100 mph, weaving through traffic on Interstate 4.
