The crash happened just before 11:30 a.m. Thursday after an 88-year-old woman mistook her gas pedal for her brake, according to the restaurant.
A York County restaurant was in disarray after a car drove through its window Thursday, damaging the interior and exterior of the building.
The crash happened just before 11:30 a.m. at the Bones-n-Shells/Corner Stables restaurant on the 2500 block of South Queen Street in York Township, according to theThe driver was not injured but was scared to get out of the car after the crash, theParamedics checked out two people for injuries, but nobody was taken to the hospital, the fire department says.
Firefighters said they shored up the building and a building and gas inspector checked the restaurant’s gas and electric connections before clearing the scene. The restaurant posted on their Facebook page that the 88-year-old driver “mistook the gas pedal for the brake.” She was meeting a friend for lunch.their Facebook page.
