EXCLUSIVE: The stars of the viral window video, dubbed the Locked Out Lisas, and camerawoman Nicole, tell us how they’ve survived tough times and brought hope to millions
A video of Enfield mum Lisa Rowland climbing through her downstairs window with the help of her sister Lisa Parker – and flashing her boobs in the process – has been the unlikely viral hit of the past week.
Lisa adds: “We’ve had messages from Holland, Germany, India, Canada… Someone said, ‘I don't think I can recall many people who have made most of the world laugh at once.'“We struggle, we’re single mums, and on that Wednesday, I was having a hard morning. I was like, ‘Is this my life?’ And on Wednesday night my life changed. If that doesn’t give someone a little bit of hope…”
“One New Year’s Eve I had the whole 279 bus singing Three Little Birds. The whole bus had their cameras out,” Lisa laughs. “We've grown up together, we’ve had baths together, we've battered each other. If that doesn’t make us sisters I don’t know what does. Blood isn’t everything to me.” Clearly devoted to her kids, Lisa shares that two of her daughters suffer with mental health issues and autism. “It's a lot to deal with and life’s been hard. And now we’re had this opportunity, it’s good. We’d love to work with mental health charities where we live in northeast London.”
