A parent volunteer has been charged after allegedly pocketing more than $40,000 during her time as Hilliard Bradley Athletic Boosters treasurer. Allison Parkin was arrested Wednesday and charged with one count of theft without consent.

Parkin appeared in court on Thursday and was released on her own recognizance.in December 2025 by the current HBAB treasurer after Parkin turned over a cash box containing nearly $2,800. Parkin claimed the cash was left over from a recent concession stand, as well as money from the organization's safe. After conducting an audit, the new HBAB treasurer found cash sales did not match the deposits made to the bank during Parkin's time as treasurer . After conferring with other HBAB leadership, the group reported the theft to Hilliard police, and an investigation was launched. Detectives later revealed Parkin made 21 cash withdrawals totalingThe HBAB leadership approached Parkin about the theft and met with Parkin to request her resignation. Court documents reveal Parkin offered to liquidate $10,000 of her own assets to help make up for the discrepancy.The HBAB board members firmly believe mismanagement of booster funds is unacceptable.
