Glasgow woman, 41, charged in connection with 'attempted murder' as teen in serious condition
A teenager is in a serious condition following an attempted murder in Glasgow city centre last night.
The 16-year-old was seriously assaulted on Stockwell Street at around 9.30pm on Friday . Emergency services rushed to the scene and the boy was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital where staff describe his condition as "serious". A 41-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in connection with the attempted murder. She is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday .A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson told Glasgow Live : “Around 9.30pm on Friday, 4 August, police were called to a report of a 16-year-old male youth seriously assaulted in Stockwell Street, Glasgow. Officers attended and he was taken by Ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where hospital staff describe his condition as serious.
“A 41-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in connection with the attempted murder. She is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, 7 August. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
