The man said he wanted to meet Kaitlin, 21, but wouldn't reveal his identity
A woman who order pizza online was later sent creepy text messages asking "Do you live alone?" and "Are you single?" Kaitlin Reakes, 21, received the texts after using her phone to order a takeaway.
The afternoon after her meal she started receiving texts from an unrecognised number asking if she wanted to meet up, reports WalesOnline. So Kaitlin demanded to know how he got her details, replying, "Just tell me who you are or I'm not talking to you anymore - I've asked you three times now.
After lying about having met Kaitlin "at the disco" the man eventually admitted to having been the "guy from the food place" and said she had entered " number there". At that point Fraser confronted the manager."His first response was that his staff would not have had access to my number so it couldn't have been any of them," said Kaitlin.
"It's made me feel like I can't even do something as normal as ordering myself food in case I get harassed," she said. "I'm not trying to ruin anyone's business but this was a complete misuse of data - I feel really vulnerable now and can't get it out of my mind." Orhan Aksoy, manager of the Golden Grill in Malpas Road, Newport, said that he had checked with his staff and none of their mobiles corresponded with number which had contacted Kaitlin. He also said it was possible the collection ticket, which had her name and phone number on it, could've fallen off her order outside the shop and been picked up by somebody passing by.
