Bexar County deputies raided a Hyatt Resort Drive home after a tip, arresting Danielle Gill and seizing 12.7 lbs of marijuana, THC wax and vapes, an AR-15, a Glock, and $492K cash. Sheriff cites vape-linked violence.
Deputies searching a home in the 9000 block of Hyatt Resort Drive on Thursday afternoon seized thousands of grams of marijuana, THC products, two firearms, and nearly half a million dollars in cash, according to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.
SAN ANTONIO - The sheriff’s office said it executed a search warrant for narcotics at about 4:20 p.m. on June 11, 2026, after deputies received a tip alleging possible narcotics usage at the residence.
The tip led to a search warrant being generated and approved, the agency said. During the execution of the warrant, deputies detained a woman at the front door who was later identified as Danielle Gill, the sheriff’s office said. Gill was arrested for possession of a controlled substance PG 2 or 2-A ≥4g 5 lbs ≤50 lbs.
The sheriff’s office said a search of the residence resulted in the discovery of about 5,768 grams of marijuana, 43 grams of THC wax, 197 grams of THC vape products, one AR-15 rifle, one 9mm Glock handgun, and $492,425 in U.S. currency.
“Over the years, many of our violent crimes, including homicides, can be traced back to confrontations over THC vape cartridges. This issue continues to be a pervasive problem, and is obviously a big money business,” Sheriff Javier Salazar said. The sheriff’s office encouraged the public to submit tips through the BCSO Sheriff’s App or by emailing tips@bexar.org with information regarding possible criminal activity.
