Police have arrested a woman in connection to the hit-and-run that killed a University of New Haven graduate student in New Haven last year.
New Haven Mayor Justin Elicker said Agwal was an international student who was a couple months away from graduating. He was applying fort jobs and he had big dreams of a life in the United States. Agwal’s brother was emotional as he spoke during a news conference, thanked police and spoke about what the family has gone through in the months since losing their loved one.“We used to fight a lot, we used to laugh, cry and I’m mad at him because I needed support in the U.S. I was alone here. It’s been almost 13 months and I miss him every day,” he added.She was arrested on Nov. 18, 2024.
