A woman was arrested for assault after a Fourth of July celebration with friends turned into a violent physical altercation in the Chinatown International Distr
ict.
Police officers responded to the 1000 block of South Jackson Street at 6:09 p.m. for reports of a person possibly stabbed and actively bleeding. A 51-year-old woman was found suffering from head injuries when officers arrived. She was treated by the Seattle Fire Department and taken to Harborview Medical Center in stable condition.
Police detained multiple suspects inside the home where the altercation incident occurred and arrested the 45-year-old woman after investigating. She was booked into King County Jail for investigation of assault.Officers said there were reports of a possible gun being used in the assault, but a gun wasn’t found during a search of the home.
