The Baldwin County Sheriff's Office arrested a woman for allegedly selling fentanyl to a man who died from an overdose in January. Digital forensics helped investigators determine the sale, and the woman admitted to providing the drug to the victim.

After a man died from a drug overdose in January, the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of the woman who allegedly sold him fentanyl.According to the sheriff’s office, officers were called to a residence in Foley on Jan. 3 in reference to a reported death.The Baldwin County Coroner’s Office and the Baldwin County Drug Task Force were subsequently called to help investigate.

According to BCSO, the coroner’s office determined that the man had a fatal level of fentanyl in his system when he passed. The agency said “digital forensics” were then used to determine that Sheehan had allegedly sold the man 3.5 grams fentanyl. After obtaining a warrant and arresting Sheehan, BCSO said that she admitted to selling the victim fentanyl.
