Emergency services scrambled to Tinto Hill following reports of an injured walker.

A woman was airlifted to hospital after sustaining injuries at a popular destination near Glasgow on Saturday afternoon.

The Moffat Mountain Rescue team were in attendance and located the woman before she was airlifted to hospital for further treatment.The rescue team sent two team vehicles and eight team members up the hill to see to the hillwalker, followed by the team’s control vehicle and remaining members. "Six members of the team proceeded to the casualty location with further team members ascending the hill with additional equipment in the event the casualty needed to be carried from the hill.
