A routine vet visit led to a New Jersey resident making a shocking discovery about her beloved rescue dog Posie's life before she adopted her—she had been shot with a BB gun.Posie, a beagle mix who Bergman describes as 'an adorable little potato,' came into Kelly P. Bergman's life in late 2021 when she lived in central Alabama. At the time, Bergman was volunteering with the Basset Hound Rescue of Alabama, fostering dogs in need of new homes.
The vet has seen BB pellets on X-rays before, so he immediately knew what it was.'Thankfully, the pellet is not causing any apparent harm to Posie, and the vet does not believe it is connected to her current cough, which is now being treated with steroids.
