A Columbus woman accused of kidnapping and killing a little boy who was the subject of a statewide AMBER Alert is in jail, authorities have confirmed.

Sunday morning, WSYX received an update from the Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Office. after the husband of Maye called 911 saying his wife told him that 5-year-old Darnell Taylor was dead. Authorities arrived and both Maye and Taylor were missing. Maye's vehicle was found abandoned in Brooklyn, OH shortly after the AMBER Alert was sent out. Maye was arrested Thursday night in Brooklyn, Ohio after she was seen 'walking suspiciously' outside a building. Authorities questioned her, and she said Darnell's body was in a sewage drain on Marsdale Avenue in Columbus.Stay Connected
