/Gray News) - A 77-year-old woman is accused of fatally shooting a man who “jokingly requested she shoot him,” according to authorities.
According to an affidavit, Geiger “recklessly caused” Osborne’s death by shooting him once in the pelvic region. Geiger told police “she and Osborne were engaged in harmless banter when he jokingly requested she shoot him,” police wrote in the sworn statement. Geiger said she thought her “firearm was empty, pointed the weapon at Osborne and pulled the trigger.”Geiger is expected to appear in court Monday.Mantua police officer plans to file lawsuit against Portage Co.
