An Anchorage woman captured a wolf pack attacking two moose in Far North Bicentennial Park recently, revealing an intriguing moment in nature within city limits.
VIDEO: Wolf pack surrounds moose & calf along Muldoon area trails ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Donna Gail Shaw’s game cameras have captured a long list of Alaskan animals doing what animals do, ever since she started placing game cameras in Anchorage’s Far North Bicentennial Park in 2017.But nothing quite prepared her for what she found last Sunday.
“I will tell you I was actually sick to my stomach for about an hour,” she said, adding she had encountered the mother moose and her calf on the trail many times before. “Those were wolves doing wolf stuff and going after natural prey,” Stantorf said. You know, wolves got to eat just like humans got to eat, except their prey are moose and moose calves.”, Fish and Game officials removed nine wolves that had been threatening dogs and humans.
