Time to lace up your skates and hit the ice! Wollman Rink is opening ahead of the winter season.
Starting Oct. 26, the iconic Central Park rink will open to the public with a celebration of the opening season all weekend long. To officially kick off the season, the rink will offer free admission, complimentary lessons, live performances and fall-themed festivities on Oct. 26-27.
“We are thrilled to welcome skaters back to Wollman Rink with an exciting two-day celebration,” said Bret Pidgeon, General Manager of Wollman Rink. “To provide an even more magical winter experience, Wollman Rink is introducing upgraded igloos and expanded skate school offerings this season, ensuring that everyone from first-time visitors to seasoned skaters can enjoy the beauty of Central Park in the winter.
Registration is now open for Wollman Rink’s Skate School, which offers lessons for all ages and skill levels. Lessons are available multiple days a week for both the Skate School and the Youth Hockey Program.
