A Colorado Parks and Wildlife wolf biologist said pups don't copy everything their parents do.

Dens can be really variable. A den can be a hole in the ground, or it can be just a depression under a log or a rock, or, you know, under some sort of cover.

Even though all of this female's behavior indicated that there was a den there and that we had some sort of reproduction, being able to see a pup and know that it's out there is really exciting.Routine monitoring includes things like trying to get observations from the air, trying to get observations from the ground, from an observation point, putting out trail cameras, even looking at public sightings reports.

If one, or both, of the pups parents have eaten cattle, would they be expected to pass that behavior on to a pup? Colorado ranchers now allowed to use night-vision equipment to kill wolves that are killing livestock
