ESPN’s Rebecca Lobo and LaChina Robinson say wing players could be a priority for the Sparks, with the 10th, 14th and 26th picks, after two significant losses

LOS ANGELES — The Sparks could be in a great position to bolster their outside shooting in this year’s upcoming WNBA draft, according to ESPN’s Rebecca Lobo and LaChina Robinson, who shared their insights on a recent WNBA pre-draft media conference call.

However, the Sparks are in the process of retooling the roster under new leadership: general manager/chief administrative officer Karen Bryant, assistant general manager Eli Horowitz and head coach Curt Miller, who previously was the general manager and head coach with the Connecticut Sun.

Like many teams, the Sparks probably covet Villanova’s Maddy Siegrest, a 6-1 forward who averaged 29.2 points and 9.2 rebounds while shooting 36.1% from 3 this past season. “Maddy Siegrist is a top 5 pick in this draft and she’s a young woman who people are really, really excited about,” Lobo said.
