Connecticut Sun guard DiJonai Carrington and Indiana Fever forward NaLyssa Smith have finally told their respective sides of an infamous foul involving the WNBA couple last season.
Last year, when the Fever were playing the Sun, Carrington grabbed a rebound and was fouled by Smith, who then helped Carrington up off the floor in a manner that social media thought was more caressing than would be reserved for the typical opponent.
“She ran straight through me. Dawg, she held on for like at least 10 seconds, it felt like,” Carrington said.Star's Wimbledon dream crashes down after Andy Murray controversy that even involves his mom Nalyssa and Dijonai are perfect together I s2g. The way they were going back and forth on Lyss’ foul and Dijonai + fans watching refused to let her pass it off as a “basketball play” is HILARIOUS. “I just tried to help her up, she gon stick her lil booty out, now we viral” 😂“Dawg. How one can not be bothered by their name being used to justify racism, bigotry, misogyny, xenophobia, homophobia & the intersectionalities of them all is nuts,” Carrington wrote on X.
